Throughout the history of the WikiPremed MCAT Course, which began in 1994 in Atlanta as MCAT Academy, we have employed a graphics tablet in combination with an image archive to help us communicate scientific ideas in our teaching. Because we have seen how wonderfully it benefits scientific instruction, we are genuine enthusiasts. Our first tablet cost more than $1000, but today superior tablets are available for much less.

The LaPazz WP5540-TAB1Q from UC-Logic makes the features and benefits of the most excellent graphics tablets available for a much lower price than with similar tablets. In our opinion, the LaPazz WP5540-TAB1Q is a very good graphics tablet. It has 1024 levels of pressure and the natural feel of pen and paper. It has a footprint similar to a regular mousepad. It has a simple USB connection and installs easily on both Windows and Macintosh systems.
